Does anyone know aanything about norway coins and if they are worth anything The Norwegian currency is the krone (crown; 1 kr = 100 øre). The value depends on what you have; in terms of exchange rates, 1 krone is about 20 Canadian cents. The numismatic value (ie. what a collector may be willing to pay) can be about that, or more. Maybe you can tell us what øre coins you have? Christian |

Does anyone know aanything about norway coins and if they are worth anything? Depends on the coin. Minor recent coins aren't and some commemeratives are. What they did for the Olympics was a crime. eric l. |

Christian BRBR yeah, I am. prior to that most Olympic coins were cheap. Some were very expensive, yes, but there were always cheap coins for one's collection. Norway? NADA. eric l. |

Well, they also issued some 50 NOK silver coins on that occasion, and those cost between, say, 25 and 35 euro each. Admittedly I don't know much about them (like, how much did they cost when they were issued) as I do not collect Olympics coins "theme-wise" ... Christian |
