Hi, I am a newbee....bought our Legend while living in Houston area.
Now have moved to the Jacksonville, Fl area. Cannot locate anyone
that can fix this oldie but goodie Rockola. Do you know anyone in
this area?
I think the scan switch may be not working correctly. I loaded the
first 20 CDs but it won't stop to load the next set of CDs. Rock
On!!!!

Crash computer programming, tho will go to coin play and autoplay.
hold down three bottons on computer located the front of mech
and turn power on. good luck!

On a true 6000-X (Charcoal laminate and translucent "fleur-de-lis" between upper speakers), you will find the S-5A operating system. It does not have the "three buttons" on the front of the Control Computer.

However, it is important to know whether the mechanism ever stops and, if so, where & how.

The Scan switch merely overrides the "RUN" circuitry and sends a signal to the Control Computer, which in turn signals the Power Distribution Assembly to turn on the +24VDC regulator circuit. Therefore, if the mech stops when the Scan Switch is in the "OFF / Service" position, then your switch is fine. However, if the mech scans constantly (even if it indexes to play a CD) the Control Computer or the Power Distribution Assembly is at fault. There is not much of a way to isolate between the two without using a multimeter.

You may also try Wild Distributing in Houston. They were a Rock-Ola distributor at one time.
