Default Seller Query- Thomas Teeter (DBA Absolutely Great Games in Temple, Texas)

Has anybody heard of or had transactions with the above named
individual/company? Supposedly he is well known in this area and I am
considering buying a Rowe CD-100 from him. He wants $2200 for it
without CDs. That sounds high, but he says it has a new CD-Pro player
and a recently replaced new CCC (what is this?) and he says he will
give me a 6 month warranty on the jukebox. Does this seem reasonable?
I have spoken on the phone with him and really liked speaking with
him, but would like references/feedback either good or bad from those
who may have actually dealt with him.

Thanks

I've sold him a bunch of parts...always paid quickly.

In all honesty, his price is not all that bad if in fact it does have
a new Pro Player in it and the CCC (Central control computer) is a new
Rowe or been gone over.

You also can't argue with a warranty. Just be sure as to what it
covers.

You can find those jukes for about $700-$1000 at an auction, no cds,
and you never know what you are getting...might be perfect, might be
crap.

I have never dealt directly with him but from what I gather, he is a
trustworthy guy. (Bad news travels a lot faster than good news, and I
never heard anything bad about him)

We bought it! Picked it up yesterday. Thanks to everybody who took the
time to respond via E-mail and here. I didn't hear any negatives about
him, so we took the plunge! Thomas was a really neat guy and took over
an hour of his time explaining and showing what all was replaced (he
was in the process of upgrading the player of another juke when we
arrived) and showed how to get the jukebox set up and other
programming options available. The cabinet looks real good- only a
couple small scratches. Inside everything looks brand new- not even a
trace of dust. The 6 month warranty covers both parts and labor.
Nobody else would give more than 30 days. It was well worth the 8 hour
round-trip drive. I love the sound of this jukebox!

These are excellent jukeboxes - but they do have their little problems
which can be permanently resolved by a skilled person prior to sale.

As far as I am concerned - the CDM 12 upgrade is essential these days
for most of these machines.

The offer of a 6 month warranty on the machine speaks volumes for the
confidence in his work on the machine and its condition.

Like I said - the price is expensive for a CD 100 these days - but its
great value for one with these extras and with the CDM 12 kit which in
itsself is expensive and not a fun job to install - especially if you
dont know much on the tech side of these machines.

I know you will enjoy this machine very much fo a long time - these
are one of the best CD jukeboxes ever made.
