Books by former Peace Corps volunteers
If you're looking for a new collecting category, collecting Peace Corps
writers comes with its own ready-made bibliography: http://www.peacecorpswriters.org/pag...resources.html Yes, most of these writers are obscure, one-shot, limited-interest authors, but the list also includes some names that may be familiar: travel writer Bill Barich, McSweeney's contributor Tom Bissell, and bestselling mystery author Kinky Friedman. There seem to be a lot of travel writers on the list. Apparently a stint in the Corps is a great way to land a job with Frommer's. --Jon Meyers |
