Default Pilot or Namiki Vanishing Point, what is the body made of?

I'm trying to determine what the Pilot Vanishing Point, the all-metal
bodied pens in Rhodium or Gold detailings on a Carbonesque or solid
color pen, are made of.

I can't see the details made of true Rhodium or Gold. Both metals
retail for about $30 a gram.

The Vanishing point body seems to be made of either stainless steel or
aluminum.

Anyone know?

Much thanks! Also got some corroboration from another site. Thanks B,
once again.

I received this information from Pilot, and should be good for the usenet
to have:

"The Pilot Vanishing Point Fountain Pen has a brass base and is coated
with enamel and lacquer. The clips are Rhodium or Gold plated.

We hope this information is helpful to you.
