I think it fair to say that the alignment tape listed is not an
original Audiotex alignment tape but a homemade dubbed copy. Nor will
it be the item pictured. later, ron

correct- I'm reusing the old pictures- because all the pads, motors,
and alignment tapes in each auction are identical

example- look at the motor auction pics- there's a box of motors there
with over 100 identical motors in it- no need to snap a new pic each
time

There isn't any. The "alignment" tapes he sells are frauds he makes
on his home machines. The "pads" are aquarium filter foam he cuts up
into piece. Everything he sells is somehow tinged with fraud.

good observation- I have positive feedback because I strive to be
HONEST.

anything I sell comes with a full money back guarantee- and very very
few things have ever been returned.

read that feedback- and look at all the 8-track tapes, decks, etc. that
have been sold, literally thousands of tapes, and dozens of decks,
perhaps over a hundred

Sure, he sells a lot of crap he dregs up at garage sales, thrift shops
and estate sales, almost all of which, I'd say, are legit items.
However, anything he touches and sells as "serviced" is suspect, and
his "alignment" tapes are definately frauds, as were his "quad frauds"
and VHS dubs of "So Wrong They're Right." He got one of his accounts
shut down, "coolsitesandsounds," over the "SWTR" fakes, and he's been
warned about frauds on "66fourdoor." You have to remember, a lot of
people who fall for the "alignment tape" scam don't know any better,
which keeps him from being shut down again. I know better, and got
stung, not just once, but twice by this crook from two different
account names, once for a fake alingment tape and once for a badly
copied dub of "SWTR" on a worn-out old rental cassette. That's the
one that shut down his "coolsitesandsounds" account.

Not only that, but once I raised hell over the fake tape, he offered a
refund, and then, in this very forum threatened to stop payment on the
check. Since that time, he's had to give refunds to many others who
have similarly been stung. In his warped mind, he thinks that just
offering a refund eviscerates his crime of fraud, which it certainly
does not. Still later, he started sending in "request for
information" cards from hunting and gun magazines with my name and
address of them. It's too bad for him that one of the advertisers
forwarded the request card to me after I called them to investigate,
and I still have a high resolution scan of that refund check. Doesn't
take too much of an expert to match up the handwriting. I've
forwarded the matter to the Postal Inspector's office. He can deal
with them from prison after the IRS gets done with him for tax
evasion.

good question. it could be answered in two parts. please let me explain.
if you have been a seller (or buyer) on ebay for any length of time, you
know that a good feedback rating determines how successful you are on ebay.
you also know that one negative feedback can cost you a bidder (or
several). (there are many ebayers that will not buy or sell items from
someone with any negative feedback at all.
now, there are some nasty people on ebay (charlie is one of them)that will
leave eronious negative feedback just for retaliation because the item was
"not as described" & the buyer called the seller to the carpet on that.
this is the case with charlie. he is as dirty as they come.
many buyers (and sellers) are afraid to leave any negative feedback because
of this problem.

another reason that charlie has so much "positive" feedback is because he
has other people "shill" the bids for the item to make it appear to have
sold, while in reality, it did not. in many cases, he would create
different accounts just for that particular purpose.
