This Vintage 1898 Spanish American War Book titled, (The History of the
Spanish-American War and The Revolt in the Philippines) is in excellent
condition. The book is narrated by W. Nephew King, Lt. U.S.N. The book is
illustrated from drawings in B/W photographs taken at the front and
paintings by the best artists of the time. The book is also edited by O.O.
Howard, Major-General (Retired - Army) and Robley D. Evans, Captain, U.S.N.
(for the Navy). The book is published by Peter Fenelon Collier & Son, New
York, FIRST EDITION, Copyright 1898. The book is 272 pages and is a complete
authentic narrative account of the (100 Days) War with Spain. The
illustrations and photographs are from eye-witness accounts. The details of
the warfare operations are from official reports and personal accounts by
the Commanding Officers. The book contains full page colored pictures
throughout the book and photographs of officers and men, battle engagements,
ships, troop movements, civilian life (in Cuba and the Philippines),
artillery, and much, much more. The book is oversize measuring 17 1/2 inches
x 12 inches. The pictures are oversize as well. The book cover has gold
gilding on the cover that says (The Story of the War of 1898). It is in
excellent condition. There are no rips, tears, creases, loose or missing
pages. There are no stains and no water damage or soiling.
