The TTM route has been slow but I got quite a few in person's in
October. First, I went to the fiasco known among the wrestling crowd as Dream Reunion 2. I got tons of stuff signed at this event by the wrestlers who did show up including Baby Doll, Ric Morton and Robert Gibson (Rock and Roll Express), Nasty Boy Brian Knobbs, Chavo Guererro Sr, Greg Valentine, Marty Jannetty, Lanny Poffo, Jessica Hatch, Samantha, Virgil, Jimmy Hart, Bobby Eaton, Dennis Condrey, Tommy Rich, and Jim Neidhart. It did make for a fun weekend hanging out with these guys. My other in persons include Tony Bennett who was in town. I missed him at the stage door at sound check. He left at 3:30 for the hotel and I arrived at 3:45. Went to the hotel and waited for him to come out. There were three of us there. We walked up to him as he came out and he already had Sharpie in hand. Security said "just a couple each" but his manager said "No, ONE each!" So, Tony signed one each and posed for photos. He was very polite and a class act. We raced them to the stage door at the theater to try for one more but they beat us be like one minute and he signed real quickly for a few fans waiting at the door. Next I got Dr. Chud, ex-Misfits drummer, who was really cool. I didn't even recognize him at first on the street. When the RV pulled up and a guy got out I asked if "Chud" would sign and he said sure. he asked what I had and I showed him the 36" inch drumstick I had for him to sign. He thought that was cool. He invited me in and we sat on his couch while he signedthe stick and various Misfits memorabilia. I also got Rik Emmett of Triumph. After the show the club said he would not sign, so several people left leaving about five of us wanting 'graphs. After about 15 more minutes he came out of the dressing room into the club and said "You guys waited, so let me sign for you." He signed anything you had but personalized everything. I had him sign seven Triumph LPs. Finally, last night I went to the Comedians of Comedy tour here. Brian Posehn of the Sarah Silverman Show and Patton Oswalt of Ratatouille were both cool as usual. They had stuff to sell after the show but would sign anything you wanted. I am a big fan of Brian's and had him sign a photo of him and I together which he inscribed "Craig I am totally gay for you, dude..." and a photo of him in a Tab shirt buying Tab which he inscribed "Tab Rules" If you never watch the Sarah show both inscriptions are in reference to a certain episode. He also signed my CDs, DVDs, comic book, and picture disc along with photos of his character from Surf's Up and he added "Glenn" to each one. He thanked me for being a big fan. Patton signed my Ratatouille photo and one sheet, which he had to insribe "contracturally", and his newest CD. The three of us posed for photos after the venue had closed, too. I aso got a signed Ghostbuster LP by Ray Parker Jr., two signed Monkees LPs by Micky Dolenz, signed one sheet by Tony Curtis, and Happy Days 8x10 by Cathy Silvers from friends at shows. Sorry for the lengthy post but it's been awhile since I've been on. Good luck everybody. Craig |
