Default Canadian Deuce Bill

A friend of mine at work brought some stuff for me to look at today. I
looked it over for her and found nothing that I would say was worth much
more than face value. However, one bill that looked to be in very nice
condition was a Canadian Two Dollar Bill. It had the date of "Ottawa 2nd
January, 1937" on it, with serial # M/B 4298685.

What I know about paper money could fit into a thimble with plenty of room
left over. I just wondered if there is any value to this deuce bill?
Thanks.

Amistad

My Charlton is a few years old, but it looks like depending on the
signature combination, it could be worth a few bucks. If the
signature combination is Osborne-Towers, it's the "good" one
(Gordon-Towers and Coyne-Towers being the "not quite so good" ones).
Osborne-Towers was about $90 (Canadian) in VF.

take care,
Scott

"Scott Stevenson" came by with some helpful info:

Many thanks for the reply, Scott. I'll have her look at it again. I
*think* it was the Osborne-Towers variety, but she 'll have to check.
