Older Accugrade Labels?
Has Accugrade ever labels different from the ones they use now?
I was at the local flea market last week, and there was a gentleman who had a bunch of morgans in G4 and a few slabs he said he bought up in Albany at a pawn shop. He was trying to sell them to a dealer there who was going through them, pulling out the counterfiets, the misgraded, etc. He did pull aside one trade dollar in an "ACCUGRADE" slab. Two things struck me as odd though, one is that the labe in the slab was on blue paperstock, and seemed to be written up with a typerwriter, all in caps. The other is that the coin had a grade of "MS63.5" which we all had a good laugh at. The man put it back in his pocket and said he'd return it to the pawn shop in Albany to get his money back. Im just wondering if this was an older Accugrade label, or the work of some self slabber. I've just never seen a label like it before; maybe i'm just used to their newer ones. -- ______ ______ ..-----.|__ ||__ | eXistenZ32 | -__||__ || __| |_____||______||______| |
