Zebrawood veneer refinishing
Hi group,
I've finished the cabinet of a Seeburg B I've been restoring. This is the first time I've worked with zebrawood, hence the questions/concerns. As I was gluing on the veneer pieces, several of the edges came loose, and I re-glued and clamped them to hold the edges down along the sides of the cabinet edges. I've tried using furniture refinisher and steel wool to remove the smudged edges where the glue oozed out. It's not working well. I've also used WD-40 on a rag, as this has worked well in the past with other veneer jobs. But not with the zebrawood. I've even tried sanding these areas of glue, but am afraid of sanding too hard and having the dark lines of the zebrawood disappear in a cloud of sandpaper dust. Any suggestions as to what others have done to solve this problem? Thanks, Rob |

Zebrawood veneer refinishing
What kind of glue did you use? That will determine how best to remove it.
I always use contact glue with great success. wrote in message oups.com... HI Rob, I have a M100A that needs refinishing, where did you get your
zebra wood? was it a kit or just panels that you have to cut yourself ? Thanks-Dennis. On Jan 26, 7:29 am, "wdlanning" wrote: What kind of glue did you use? That will determine how best to remove it.
