Default What happened here?

This ebayer had the high bid, then bid three more times, but the bid stayed
the same. What up?

The reserve was not met even with the highest of his bids?

I know he was bidding more each time. Why doesn't the higher bids show up
at the end? Is it because he was the high bidder and the higher bids do not
come into play until someone else bids higher than $10.50?

If you're the high bidder you can't outbid yourself.. you can up your hidden
proxy bid but the visible high bid won't change..

There is one annoying exception to this.

If you become high bidder with a bid that does not beat the previous high
bidder's maximum bid by the next bid increment, then increasing your maximum
proxy bid will cause your current bid to jump to the next increment.

Example: You bid $101.00 in an auction where the current high bid is $95.00.
Your bid beats the high bidder's proxy bid of $100.00 and you become high
bidder at $101.00.

However, you did not beat his bid by the full bid increment at this level which
would be $2.50. If you were to now increase your maximum bid to $110.00 to
protect against new bidders, eBay would immediately increase the current high
bid to $102.50.

I always hated this....when it happened to me.
