Ouch. I've had authors sign all sorts of things when a book is not
available, but it's not the same.

I got Julius Schwatrz to sign a beat-up issue of "Ambush Bug" once. I
think it annoyed him ("What about my Supermans?" he asked.)

I also have a couple anthologies I attempted to get signed by all; a
difficult quest. "Dangerous Visions" comes to mind as being particularly
tough. "red dragon" on Ebay had an anthology up just recently of some sort
that was signed by dozens of contributors. It was pretty cool, but buying
such a book would not give me much satisfaction, even were it cheap.

Dangerous Visions would be impressive. I've seen several copies of the
recent 400 copy 1st of McMillan's "Measures of Poison" with all the
authors' sigs on EBay. I on't know if they are bound in or on a big
bookplate or what. Pricy!
I actually have an unsigned copy that one of the authors sent me. (It was
shrinkwrapped). Perhaps I will 'lay in' the accompanying note
