Anyone think this Lincoln item is genuine ?
Genuine? Probably not. It looks like some kind of campaign memorabilia for
the presidential election of 1864. "RW Julian" wrote in message ... Austseller123 has the following 1864 Abraham Lincoln item on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=6625324 242 In judging the item for authenticity, one might consider the following: 1) The seller lives in Belarus (between Russia and Poland) but claims to be in Australia. 2) He is well known for selling fake Russian coins. 3) He also, from time to time, sells Confederate memorabilia, which of course is common in Belarus. 4) One must be approved as a bidder in advance! Has anyone even seen anything like the Lincoln item being offered? RWJ |

climbed to the top of the minaret and sang out: Austseller123 has the following 1864 Abraham Lincoln item on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=6625324 242 In judging the item for authenticity, one might consider the following: 1) The seller lives in Belarus (between Russia and Poland) but claims to be in Australia. 2) He is well known for selling fake Russian coins. 3) He also, from time to time, sells Confederate memorabilia, which of course is common in Belarus. 4) One must be approved as a bidder in advance! RWJ Just the negative feedbacks for selling at least a couple of fakes, and for lying about where he's located, IMO scream out "don't be suckered into buying from this guy!!!" |

"Mr. Jaggers" made the startling statement found below:
As disgusting as this auction is, it's no worse than advertising a VG coin as a Fine. gasp Sir, are you saying that some would be so bold, crass, and repugnant as to do that? ;-) Amistad 'you gotta watch 'em; they're out there by the droves' |
