Thanks No, you are not missing anything, but the stamp is -- the 3 1964 stamps (3,4,5fo) are unwatermarked. Chris |

Chris Thanks................Scott mentions that the original set in 1960 is watermarked (Multiple star watermark), but makes no mention in 1961 or 1964 of watermarks, hence the confusion. |

Chris Thanks................Scott mentions that the original set in 1960 is watermarked (Multiple star watermark), but makes no mention in 1961 or 1964 of watermarks, hence the confusion. The Scott catalogue doesn't list the watermark for every series - it only lists them every now and then unless the watermark is different for one issue compared to the issue immediately previous. If you look a few issues back from the 1964 stamp, you will eventually find one that specifies "unwatermarked". Same thing with the 1961 stamp, look back and you'll come across one showing the watermark number. Every stamp listed after that mention will have the same watermark until the listing specifically tells you that it's different. From the introduction at the front of the catalogue: "Printing method, perforation and watermark apply to the following sets until a change is noted." Ryan |
