Coincidence again
Last weekend, I picked up a first printing of William
Golding's _The Spire_ , Faber & Faber 1964. I was not familiar with it and had no clue what it was about. But when I brought it home, there was the New York Times, travel section, with a picture of Salisbury Cathedral, noting that the spire was the tallest cathedral spire in England and the subject matter of Golding's book. |
