Default Looking for parts for my wurlitzer 1700H restore

Hello All"

I am hoping someone on here can help me out. I am restoring a Wurlitzer 1700H and in need of the following parts. I have tried a few outfits who sell parts, but no leads as of yet.

I am looking for part # 59655 Felt washer for the selector shaft assembly and main cam and bushing assembly. I need 2 of these.

I am also looking for part # 59710 spring backstop pawl assembly on the chassis mounting plate and pivot casting and arm assembly.

Any leads would be great. I am planning on attending the Chicagoland jukebox show in St. Charles IL next month, any one might be able to bring the parts to their booth.

Thank You
Mike

Hi Mike,

I have the spring:

http://www.flippers.com/catalog/prod.../spring-p-6472

but not the felt washer - you can probably make that up yourself.

Thanks John. I will probably place an order in a bit as I see what else I will need to save on shipping costs.
Thanks again. Any advise on the felt? Should I use just craft store stuff and cut an oring?

Is your felt missing or has it just rotted out? I have yet to replace
one so can't really advise on what to substitute for it, I am assuming a
felt o-ring would work though. It is mostly there to hold oil, is it not?

John,
They look like o-rings and they are on either side of #59584 spring, drive clutch. I am not sure if they are for oil or stability? Do you have a source for felt o-rings?

Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike, that is on my page 91, Section 11. It is the same part number
for the 2900s and I'm sure right up to the 3300s. Looks like I have to
track that down, but no time.

The relative size of the washer 59647 should help with the thickness for
the felt washers, and the diameters are the same.

Have you tried Victory Glass or John Durfee (Durfee Coin)?

John,

Oops! I was looking at the wrong page number. You are correct that it is on page 91.

I have tried Victory glass, but have not contacted John at Durfee coin. I will try him. The washer is very thin, so I am sure that the felt is thicker than it. The diameter would be spot on though. If you do have time to look that would be great. I am going to the Jukebox show in St. Charles IL this weekend, hoping good luck will be with me finding a vendor with parts.

Hi Mike,

I looked, couldn't find anything in my junk box. As for supplying these,
that would be a lot of work for a part no one has ever asked me for
before...

You may just have to go hunting for suppliers of felt o-rings and see
what you can turn up. they are out there, I found one in the UK that
looked promising for example.

Did you check the guys in Germany?

Good luck!
