Was offered one of these for my gameroom. Anything good or bad about
this model I should know ?? It's set for free play.......no coin
mechs. The price seems right & it comes loaded with CD's.

Thanks

I've had one (the only juke I'ved owned) for about four months. Like it
a whole lot. Money well spent. The operator I got it off said they
were/are most reliable..

Tom,

I bought one form Walter Grice in Mentor Ohio and absolutely love it.
The sound is great and you get to see the CDs being loaded and
played.

Easy to hook up external speakers as well.

Thanks for the replies !

I currently have a Rowe R92 combo unit & at our last party people were
ridiculing my music selection on the old 45's.

With only 6 CD selections to choose from, It's hard to get much modern
music in there. The lack of new modern 45's being pressed is what's
got me thinking about a CD only juke.

Thanks.......Tom in Oh

Hi Tom;

Saw your post about limited music selection on the Rowe R92. I had
the same problem with my AMI Model-B, so I thought I would pass on
some info about a digital upgrade I just completed.

I converted my model-B to be totally digital, using a basic PC, touch
screen monitor and Jukebox software frontend from JukeTime
'www.juketime.com'. Juketime provided a fairly detailed conversion
manual with lots of pictures so the process was fairly straight
forward. In addition the conversion costs were reasonable (and a
whole lot cheaper than buying a new jukebox). I now have a great
looking 1940's jukebox that plays all my CDs, cassettes and records.

If I'm remembering correctly, the R92 had a large glass top. This
would be a good candidate for either an upgrade (keep current
equipment and add digital capability) or a retrofit (replace all the
current record equipment with the new digital capability).

If you are interested, take a look at the Juketime web site and let me
know if I can provide more details.

Steve

Peter, could you advise as to whether the external speakers make much of
a difference?. I am toying with the idea of adding them to my Performer
Grand..

Ta!

Tom,

You don't really need them for a recroom or home bar. What I did was
put some out on my deck outside and put a throw switch in the midlle
so I could select CDs and then throw the switch and listend to them on
my deck. The only drawback is that the machine also plays in the
house at the same time.

I find the sound is excellent with the jukebox as is.

Good luck.

people were ridiculing my music selection on the old 45's.

I would make sure those people were thrown out , told not to be so
materialistic and asked to not come back .

I would have done that very thing..........but..........

1 She is the wife of a very good friend.
2 She is really pleasing to look at.
3 She was really just teasing me about the songs relating to my age.
( I like my 45's)
4 I told her if she wanted newer music to go turn on the radio & sit
in her car !!
