B O R I N G. This has politics written
all over it. Governors these days are
falling all over themselves trying to show
how committed they are to education
issues.

While its a nice little schoolhouse design
it really says nothing to me about Iowa
as a state. The same schoolhouse could
be from any state. If they really wanted
Grant Wood the famous "American Gothic" is a much better design but that
battle has already been fought.

I feel it's a case of the best of what's left. Everyone I talked to
really wanted the "Young Corn" design, but I believe it was decided it
just wouldn't translate to a coin well enough. To me, it's so much
better than the livestock option, I'm not complaining.
