Default !877 Indian cent??

Is it me, or does it look like someone has done a little "PhotoShop" work
around the date and the "N" on the reverse???

Wes, the date looks OK to me. I can see where you might think they had
fiddled with the "N", however these pictures are so cruddy that I
would hesitate to pass judgment ... especially considering that the
seller has an exceptionally high feedback score with a 7-day return
policy.

I assume you are familiar with the diagnostics of the 1877 IHC ... for
the benefit of other "lurkers" who might not be, that "N" is supposed
to be weakly struck if it's genuine. From the looks of the other N and
the E next to it, this might have been struck at a very late stage of
the die's lifetime. But then again, I am no expert on IHC's.

Again, judging from the seller's high feedback, I would give them the
benefit of the doubt.

The image is too heavily artifacted due to excessive JPG compression
to be sure.

The coin looks okay to me, Wes. The second "7" is correct and the
weakness seen at the central portion of reverse is where it should be.
Coin is heavily worn, and I would call it AG-3, but it looks the way it
should look.

I'm not interested in the coin, it is just that the area around the two
major diagnostics looked like it had been fooled with (the second 7 and the
N) with photo software.

The seller does have great feedback and a return policy, so that is not a
red flag.
