I agree that this is a dubious move on their part and will dilute their message. They are a strong market force, but many of their smaller accounts (such as I used to be) are already unhappy with them. I expect they are looking at the new book market because they are in perpetual pursuit of growth, and don't have pretty done what they can in the antiquarian market. It was extremely interesting to see that 20,000 books are sold daily through the site. Thats 7.3 million books a year.
