Maybe, although I seem to have quoted quite accurately. And he's also right
in that I ALWAYS attrtibute incorrect delusions to him. I can't take credit
for them, tho ... they're always his incorrect delusions.

Fortunately I don't see them all that often.

Did Phil catch his spelling/grammar error, or is he "off duty" for

Good question. I don't know, because colonial issues aren't legal tender. The
HPA would apply, but which parts of the act probably would depend on when it
was made and how it was being presented.

Yeah, I've gotten way too many counterfeit bust halves in change.

Not the point. They are legal tender and still counted as part of the money
supply.

And the HPA restrictions , being restrictions, are not applied
retroactively.

HPA may only be for a limited time, but the anti-counterfeiting laws are
forever.

The guy who gut busted making his own nickels in the 40's was striking them in
nickel. IIRC, the day he was using was from during the war.
