Default Impaired Proof V Nickel?

I posted a couple of pictures in ABPN of a wire rimmed beat up V
nickel that I found in a group. Would be happy for any opinions on
this since I've never even seen a proof V. It does have extremely
sharp rims so it might have been in a holder but hard metal like that
doesn't normally get affected like that.
Anyway, thanks for any help.

Well, I sure can't tell for sure if it was once proof from those
photos. But I'd bet business strike. The dentils are not fully defined
on the obverse and the edges of the lettering look rounded best I can
tell.

Thanks Bruce, I did it on the scanner. The thing that made it stand
out was that the rim was so sharp. I've never seen a proof V nickel
so I don't have any idea of what the characteristics would be. I
don't even have a cherrypickers manual anymore, having donated it long
ago to the RCC defense fund.
Oh well, I'll put it in the bag with my other "odd" coins and someone
can figure it out after I'm dead and they come across it.
