What year did the U.S. Mint change colors on their Silver ProofSets?

Default What year did the U.S. Mint change colors on their Silver ProofSets?

I know they went from that maroon color to the blue color, but what was
the first year that the change occurre? I've also seen (on e-bay) that
some are housed in a black presentation box, what's up with that? I
still need to collect 1993 through 1998, that's why I ask.

I think the silver proof sets come in red boxes, the regular proof sets
come in blue boxes, the mint sets come in red and blue envelopes for
both mints, and the black proof wrapping is from the '80s.

From 1992 through 1998 the silver proof sets came in black flip top
boxes. During that time period the Mint also sold Premier Silver Proof
Sets which came in black boxes with a separate lid. Inside the box was
a black velvet presentation case which could be opened in such a
manner that the plastic encased proof set could be displayed in an
easel-like fashion.
