How embarrassing. :-) http://tinyurl.com/kb1c Grade Points : 3.98 % Complete: 33% Set Rating: 1.31 WOW! The years of work and careful collection of the absolute worst coins makes that set something to be proud of. He is pretty particular about them...as funny as that sounds! He only goes for problem free specimens. No bent, banged up, placed on a train track coins will do. How bad must an incuse design coin be worn down to warrant PO-01? And I had to laugh at the one that was crossed from ANACS PO-01. What must the guys at PCGS have thought? Chrysta Dear Lord. These make my orphanage look like a beauty pageant. I think I can out-ugly the Liberty Seated Dime, but not in that date. The Kennedy is appalling. I was afraid to look at the $10 piece. I already know a couple of collectors who have lowest grade registry sets. An occasional poster in this newsgroup was working on the World's Worst Gold Type Set ... he had a $50 slug that was identifiable by size and shape only. I bought it when I was a kid.. don't remember when, or what I paid for it, but I've had it in a little 2x2" paper envelope with "1866 2c" typed at the top as long as I can remember.. it's probably the single most worn out coin I own.. but I was not a rich kid and was happy to buy it at the time way back when.. I bet it isn't worth a cent more now than when I bought it close to 40 years ago.. Harv |
