His AU Should have been AG. -- George D Phoenix, AZ AAA, AARP, ANA, NRA, RCC ?+1, PIA, PIAAZ, GATF 85006-3032-18-4 The reward for a good deed is to have done it. Please use this address to mail me. Actually, he didn't George. I e-mailed him about that auction stating that he must have meant AG. No, he wrote back, he compared the coin to Photograde and it matched the photo for AU. Might have been a bit better! If you don't like it, don't bid on it..... Yadda yadda yadda. Ira Stein Here's the "yadda yadda yadda" that I got: The coin was purchased from a dealer in a 2x2 flip - the flip had the coin catagorized as AU - I took the coin out of the flip to get a better picture - based on PhotoGrade AU would seem to fit - the picture does not give as good a color as the coin has - I am not a grader - I relied on a dealer that I bought this from. Sometimes the pictures actually can (or seem to) accentuate any wear on a coin - either way, that is the coin in the auction - if you do not think it is AU then I would recommend either not bidding at all or bidding only what you feel would make sense. As you can see in the pictures, I am not trying to hide anything on the coin. I appreciate your comment - thank you. -- Jason Craton ---- CONECA N-3407 --- WINS #5 --------------------------- Interested in error coins? http://www.error-coins.com - A work in progress (lack of progress really). |

Well, people can indeed have a change of heart. That seems to be the case with this vendor. Have a look and see: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=3033993 768 -=LDL=- |

The dent on the reverse rim is an extra treat. It would absolutely qualify for AG. Certainly no worse than that. I'd like to have the coin in front of me for a second or two, though. I think they may have the date wrong. Alan 'give or take' |
