Would you fix this book?

Yes, if it were a book I wanted (an herbal, say) or something I thought would sell for significantly more than enough to cover that facsimile cost (as it is, the book is practically worthless, though you might try e-bay &cet. -- maybe someone else has a copy with the last pages missing). If it's a book of sermons by someone unknown, forget about it. If it contains illustrations, consider cannibalizing it (*sigh*). Don Fitch, who has an herbal from that era with the engraved title-page strangely-patched with nearly-random snippets from other engravings, but couldn't possibly afford a better copy. -- |
