Are saying without saying that if somebody pays by paypal they have to pay
that extra 2.9% + 30 cents? "Fred Shecter" wrote in message k.net... https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/websc...g-fees-outside OK, so it's actually 2.9% plus 30 cents. No. I am saying that if you pay me I must pay a fee to paypal since
they charge me that fee. If you make an offer to buy something from me, and your offer is not high enough to cover the fee, then I will not accept your offer. It's just like everything you buy in a sto they price everything higher than if you paid with cash because they must absorb the cost of accepting credit cards or debit cards. That's the way the real world works. You must cover the cost of shipping and processing payments if made using a method that causes increased cost. -Fred Shecter |

So, like a store, no discount for paying with Cash? LOL!
Some people LIKE getting their money real fast. But it sounds like you wish to have a check? I have been selling for 5 years now and ADORE getting PayPal. I would NEVER pass my minute PayPal fee on to consumers. Jonathan_ATC "shreadvector" wrote in message oups.com... So you would sell a $2000 bundle of Twos for $2000 and eat the
approximately $60 PayPal fee? PayPal only charges a maximum of $5 for eCheck payments. I prefer them. If folks want to use the credit card or existing balance payment option, as long as they know it makes the transaction more expensive, that's fine. Think of it as paying to go first class instead of coach. -Fred Shecter |

Yes, i think you are in agreement with me.
When i list on eBay I can; 1) Raise the price to reflect the actual cost of the PayPal and eBay fees. 2) Same as 1 but I could offer a bonus for paying using a low cost method (USPS Money ORders or eCheck). I usually do this by offering free shipping for these higher priced items. 3) Refuse to accept the higher cost payment methods. That's why I presented this here first, to give anyone interested a chance to e-mail an offer to me before I list it on eBay so they can factor in the costs and savings. I've had a couple of folks pick them up in person to save even more. They paid cash and shipping was zero. Exchange was always made in front of an armed guard at a local bank branch or in the lobby where I work. -Fred Shecter |

Do you understand how percentages work? What is 2.9% of $2000? That is what we are talking about here. Since that is so "minute", you should just be willing to eat it, right? $58? yes, I would be willing to "eat it." |

OK, Please list an item on eBay that cost you $2000 and start the
bidding at $2000. You can then show us that you are willing to eat the fees and sell itmes for less than the actual cost to you. We're waiting. |

No I don't. I waited several days for people to make an offer via
e-mail. Nobody did, so I listed the item on eBay. You never responded to my request which I will now repeat again he OK, Please list an item on eBay that cost you $2000 and start the bidding at $2000. Ah, I see I replied without looking at the expanded thread. D'oh!
You were agreeing with me and challenging the other person.
