How do you come to that conclusion?

Looks like he pulled it right out of his ass.

I don't want to use the USPS boxes for other than priority mail
shipments. Rather than get in a dialogue regarding whether it is legal
or not, does anyone else have an economical source for boxes. Does
anyone use uline boxes?

No problem, if you don't mind revealing to your buyer that you're a
thief.

Uline is indeed reliable, & affordable. It is one of the most popular
shipping supplies companies & their prices are as good as, or better than,
most.

Others to check into:
http://papermart.com

http://www.packagingplace.com/

cheers ~

I use recycled, clean, "like new" boxes for my shipments.

Books fit quite nicely in electronics boxes, which are
readily available at computer shops. I'm not talking
about the display boxes, but the plain, brown, sturdy
shipping boxes that hold modems and other cards.
I'm lucky that my husband works with these items, so
I get free delivery... but if he didn't occasionally haul
them home, someone else would have to crush and
recycle them.

Check at a few local strip-malls. Check around the
back, too, at the loading docks. Our local Ben
Franklin crafts store gets shipments daily, and there's
a variety of boxes *and* packing supplies available
for the taking. I used to ask if I could take them, but
after being told "PLEASE! It'll save me crushing them!",
I just load up. Occasionally, someone will come out
because they heard a noise...and thank me.

Kris

I came to that conclusion by thinking like lawyer -- something that is
fairly easy for me to do, when I want to, because I AM a lawyer.

Since this seems to be so difficult for some people to believe, I will
see if I can track down the specifics.

My mail address is jsachs177 at earthlink dot net.

Try CentralPack.com at http://www.centralpack.com. They have lots of
different sizes of adjustable bookfolds at very reasonable prices.
