Default Leatherbound Dickens 1909

Hi

I am new to the group, but have a question on a set of books that I
have. They are by Dickens, leather bound. The publisher is Thomas
Nelson & Sons, London, Edinburgh and NY, 1909. One of the books in the
collection is American Notes, Etc.

If anyone can tell me anything about these books, I would love to hear it.

Thanks,
Geri

OK, post your question here. If you are inquiring
about the current worth of these books, be advised:
(a) Market price is determined by supply and demand;
(b) The supply of printed works by the most popular
authors (e.g. Dickens) is abundant.
(c) Leather-bound books in near-perfect condition are
worth more than cloth-bound books in near-perfect condition.

They would make great fuel if you run out of logs for your woodstove this
winter.

Nitwits with newly acquired McMansions like to buy them for their
"library" so that they can look well read.

If you have any nice leather-bound sets of Dickens, do please let me
know before consigning them to the flames.

It would depend a lot on the condition of the books and whether the set
is complete. A complete leather-bound set in good condition is a
pleasure to own and a pleasure to read.

That may sometimes be the case, but there is nothing intrinsically wrong
with liking nice books.

Nobody said there was and no sane, logical person would have inferred
that from my post.
Oh, that's right - it's Mr. Spamamoto. Sorry.
