Why English Officers Wore Red Coats
I am french. This was originally a joke about Admiral Nelson and various enemies and in it HE was the one who wore the red coat during battles...until faced with overwhelming odds...when HE requested brown trousers. Sad to see a good joke distorted for propaganda.
