Default Brassing on modern pen

Well, I have a feeling everyone is thinking this is just another post
questioning brassing. Although it is, I'm actually inquiring about how to
accelerate it. I don't like gold. Plain and simple, and the M405 fills in
that want I have very well. Now I used to have a Waterman Hemisphere with
silver trim that was my daily user. I dropped it and now it's busted. So I
need a cheap replacement so I ordered the M200. It only comes in gold. Now
to my main question, does anyone know how I can get the gold off and make it
silver? ..or atleast not as "yellow"....without damaging the rest of the pen
that is.

Any ideas would be welcomed.

A sterling silver pen (eg. Waterman L'Etalon or Parker Sonnet) would
probably fit you
