Several years back, Timothy Hawley, a printer & binder from Louisville,
was advertising custom-made books that he called "bibliocadavers,"
which would be made from paper that incorporated the ashes of your
cremated loved one. The pages could be either blank or printed with
your choice of text. I don't know if he ever actually produced one, though.

The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh currently has a book bound
in the skin of the murderer William Burke on display as part of its
quincentenary events ("500 years at the cutting edge"). There are
probably other extant artifacts made of Burke-skin, one of the staff
had a coin purse made from it at the time.
