IE7 is available, and provides tabbed pages, warnings of spoof Paypal, ebay
and bank websites, and 1000% enlargement of pictures and text.

I recommend it.

First of all, good try, but you are not Frank Provasek.

Second, if IE7 is actually available, why haven't we learned of it in the
legitimate press?

Third, you're trying to spoof the wrong group of people. Please try

IE? Blech!

I switched to Mozilla Firefox about a year ago. Will not switch back.

Frank may or may not have written:

"Warnings of spoof paypal, ebay and bank websites"? Do they have that
wording in the title bar of every web page?

I half expected the "enlargement" comment above to apply to certain ...
anatomical attributes.

And how would a 1000x enlargement of any picture or text possibly be of
use? Images would distort horribly and there's no way that a non-magic
web browser could do anything about it.

IE7 *is* out ... in beta. It has already been reported that it tends to
#&%-up some IE6 and Firefox 1.5.x installations. Exercise caution when
using any newly released software. Remember, quality at Micro$oft is job
one-point-one.

The type sites being discussed conform to protocols - the detection is
not complicated.

Firefox lags in function with the most current web site attributes. They
chase current development and are fortunate that plug-in developers are
considering Firefox upgrades. I've been using Firefox since RedHat
conjured it out of Nutscrape remains. Firefox lags behind IE and Avant.
To view more than a few more sophisticated Flash/video intensive and
some highly encrypted sites, the latest Firefox requires that files are
opened under an IE tab or does not work.

While I am a big "Microsoft Free" fan, the truest part of your last two
statements above is "ANY" software.

When an email claims to come from paypal, ebay, etc, the link is
dynamically compared to known phishing sites, DNS resolution makes
sure the domain of the "sender" and destination match, and other techniques
such as link obfuscation also flag suspicious sites.

Kinda like the Netcraft toolbar which is has been available for rather a
long time? Hm. Wonder where they got that idea.

If you think you are safer using open source browsers that
volunteers develop, try googling "Firefox Vulnerable "

My, what an astonishingly oversimplified, ignorant, and wrong way to
analyze vulnerabilities. But by all means, keep on doing whatever makes
you happy.

Which specific encryption mechanism are you claiming doesn't work in
Firefox? And, I've been using flash with firefox since the early days,
it's just a plugin to a flashplayer, it doesn't run natively in firefox
(or in IE for that matter). Sounds like setup issues on your PC (or
FUD...)

The enlargement of images is a fine feature available as an extension in
FireFox. Just go to the extensions page and download ImageZoom. Works
great for those ebaY auctions that you can't quite make out the hairlines on
the tiny images. LOL!

It's been discussed over a year in the legitimate press that I read... But
the
March 20 release has the final rendering engine and is suitable for the home
user....and
MUCH improved over IE6.

Mr. Jaggers

I don't know why you think it's a spoof...but if you prefer the Microsoft
browser,
check out the Microsoft website.
