Thanks for having a great site, good for shopping, and for research. Can you suggest a way I can realize a fair price for a number of world banknotes without scanning and listing each on ebay? I have a near mint like; http://cgi.ebay.pl/58.3-EINE-KRONE-1...QQcmdZViewItem but I have found a number of auctions with various prices in various conditions, one in cz seems to show a sheet of 6. The printing on most is very interesting, but I need to dispose of all of them, hopefully at something close to exchange value. I don't understand why there is a problem exchanging a note like a 5000 YEN Japan Banko Ginko. I have about 30 notes from around the world, is there anybody interested enough for me to list them with my impression of condition? |

World Banknotes for Sale
Hello,
I would suggest you to bring your notes to any local dealer you might have and ask for a quote to him/her. Bear in mind, however, that a dealer's offer cannot be close to retail price, as s/he has to leave room for profit. :-) If you want to get more out of your notes, then I could suggest you to list them on eBay with an accurate estimate of their condition according to the IBNS grading!!! The krone you pointed out even in UNC condition is not a rare item at all, thus you cannot expect a lot from it. As for the Japanese 5000 Yen, it is very strange that you are unable to exchange it at a bank. Maybe you should try a bigger one!!! Anyway, also in this case, I suggest you to enlist the note on eBay. I am pretty sure there will be people interested in it, as long as it is in UNC condition. If it is in a lower grade, then it might be difficult to sell, and the best thing to do is to exchange it at any international bank in your city!!! I hope I have been helpful to you and thanks for your compliments on my site. Best regards, Dr. Giovanni C. Pettinaro (IBNS LM-166, LANSA 1173). Whata Fool wrote: "Giovanni C. Thanks for the advice, I am afraid in the center of the US there are not many international tourists and thus not much demand for currency exchange. I did start listing the currency on ebay, thanks.
