Default Found in cash register

Lately, I have had some decent coin finds in the DQ cash registers.

Just over a week ago, while counting the registers at the end of the day,
I noticed a nice looking reverse on a nickel, and it had that aged look.
Taking a closer look, it turned out to be a sharp 1952-S Jeff ( I lost count
of the register on account of that nickel and had to start over).

Just a few days ago, I found a 1909 Lincoln in the cent slot. VG detail,
but scarred up a lot and would be a filler if kept at all. Two days ago, I
was opening a roll of cents and noticed several wheat reverses. From that
roll, I found a 1925-D, good; a 1945, F-VF; a 1951, VF and a little dirty;
and a 1940 Canadian cent, VF.

Also, from a half roll from the bank, I found a lustrous 1969-D Kennedy,
which is really not too unusual although lately I haven't been averaging the
one 40% per roll that I have been accustomed.

Of all these finds, the 52-S Jeff was my favorite. Wes, if you read this, I
am curious if your son has received it yet. Bill

One thing I miss about retail was when I got to count all that change. A
large portion of my Lincoln cent circulated set came from the till of a
now defunct grocery store.
