No not boring at all. Some new's is better than no news. Is the
spaulding and Co. a gold dollar or Silver?

It's a silver piece, with 823 grains of coin silver to denote
the claimed value of a gold dollar and a "wagon wheel" to
indicate the size of a "government" silver dollar. *The slab is
marked HK-785, but I don't have the Hibler and Kaplan reference
work.

Original toning, but with three rim irregularities/dings, and
entombed in one of the massive NGC multi-coin slabs. *My
macro lens is out on loan, but it there's interest I can
shoot some photos.

What would a piece like this cost? I'd love to add one to my
collection. Almost 2oz's of silver and very unique. Well thanks for
sharing and I under if you don't want too discuss the price of your
coin/bullion or whatever we should call it.

Well, given that this page is still up and easily searchable
in Google, I don't see much of a reason to be coy:

Nothing can be "very unique". It is either unique or it is not.

Sorry.

Don't sweat it. Eventually some eBay coin vendor is going to jump the shark
and call his specimen "uniquely unique".

Or rarest of rarity.

Unlike uniqueness, there can be varying degrees of rarity.
