Austrian imperfs 1920

I found these while sorting out my Austria.

Can't see them in either Gibbons or Michel. I assume they must be cutouts
from postal stationery items. Can anyone confirm ?

My older Gibbons shows them as 1919 (July) - Imperf is priced in column
"B".
SG 346 and SG 355.


Very strange. They aren't shown in the 2nd. edition (1982) of Gibbons
Austria & Hungary. It would be interesting to know why they have been
dropped.

Both Michel and Netto show the set as imperf up to the 60 heller.

I have received the following from a contact in Germany...........

"Now I looked into a special Austria catalogue (1987/88).
There is a remark under 255-274 that 13 stamps of the set exist imperforated
as "Vorlagestücke" Price each 260.00 Austrian Shillings In those times 7
Shillings were 1 Deutschmark. Vorlage in German means pattern Stücke means
pieces. "

This indicates that they were issued imperforate in some sort of
presentation pack
