Default JUKEBOX METAL FINISHING

COULD ANYONE HELP ME WITH THE PROPER WAY TO PROTECT THE FINISH AFTER
BUFFING, I AM TOLD THAT THERE IS A CLEANER THAT HAS TO BE USED BEFORE
SPRAYING ON LAQUER, ALSO WHAT IS THE BEST LAQUER TO USE, THANKS, WAYNE

I have used lacquer and clear acrylic urethane right after polishing with no
ill affect. In my experience, both coatings seem to dull the finish just a
bit.

I don't know about laquer, or what type of metal you're buffing, but
when I've had aluminum parts of jukeboxes buffed and polished, I've
used Mother's brand polish on them; it's the same stuff used for years
by car buffs/enthusiasts on their rims and other chrome. I've never
once experienced a tarnish or anything bad resulting for using it.
Again, this is after buffing aluminum, and I really am not that
familiar with laquer (on metal), but I did use some spray on laquer (on
wood) for the 4008 speaker I'm restoring for a customer. It looks
beautiful! Rob
