friend autographs?
Remember when you were a kid and got autographs in yearbooks etc? I
have some great ones going back to 7th grade. My coolest thing I saved was a jean jacket from when I was 14-15 and I had a lot of my regular "home" hang out friends on there. I'll probably keep it till I die cause it brings back a lot of fond memories of playing Levoy, touch football in the streets and Joe slipping on a banana peel, or the fireworks incident or the knocking on doors in July trick or treating... good fun for kids. anyway, the question is, does anyone have autographs they've kept of childhood friends etc? If so, has anyone become famous etc? I went through a lot of the names and don't remember half the people on the yearbooks or autograph albums... but kind of fun to see what some said (and apparently I was BFF's with a few I don't even remember now! LOL). |

yeah, Mike Bibby is in my high school yearbook. and he and his brother
(and their dad) are all in my little league yearbooks...Mike or his brother were on a lot of my baseball teams growing up and i have a bunch of mike signatures as a result...look NOTHING like his autograph now...(mike was a year younger than me, his brother was a year older than me) i still have most of that stuff, it's in my parent's house... too bad you didn't have your friends write their last names on stuff...i had a teacher who, in the third grade told all of us to get the last names of people in the yearbooks (or write it ourselves) so that when we looked back, we could figure it out..(i think he had just had his reunion at the time). mike |

Other then my year books from HS & College I have a baseball mitt I used as a prop in a high school play that the cast & crew signed and a program from a play I was in in college signed by the cast & crew. that's cool. I saved some straw from the Scarecrow in our Senior Play
in high school cause i thought the guy was gonna be famous one day (he wanted to be an actor). I don't think he was though. I wonder if you could frame the mitt! yeah, mike's not really famous, he's a pro basketball player, but not
famous (he was an all star one year, and he played on a national championship team in college). other than all that, i have all my old yearbooks at my folks house...i did the whole getting a white t shirt signed at the end of the year in grade school..but it got kinda fruity when i got older and guys just didn't do that sort of thing...memories that way were a girl thing after a while. i have curt schilling's picture in one of my little leage year books as he was in senior ball when i was like in tee ball. but i didn't know him then, so i obviously didn't get it signed... i still have old baseballs signed by my whole little league team from when i was a kid. i remember how hard it was to sign a baseball then. Every once in a while i run into someone i went to school with or played little league or pop warner with when i go back to phoenix. m |

And then wrote David Letterman real big underneath it!! She said he was a really funny back in high school. It's pretty cool to look at. I believe Dan Quayle's wife and Jane Pauley were also in there class!! |

Yeah, I am no fan of Basketball; so I can't say much. My favorite sports to watch are Football and Hockey. To play would be baseball. Baseketball is way down for me. It's boring. It's like tennis or Golf really; just back and forth, back and forth.
