Default 1950 Ten Dollar Bill

I have a series C 1950 Ten Dollar bill. New York, New York stamp. Does
have a pencil marking on it. Otherwise it is in good shape. My
question is this. On the back of the bill "In God We Trust" isnt on
there. Is the "In God We Trust" suppose to be on there above the US
Treasury building thats pictured?

TIA,
Daniel...

The motto was legislated to appear on paper money starting in 1957.

You might could get alittle over face value, if you find the right
buyer. But I wouldn't exspect much more than two-dollars over face.
