FA: 1952 Eisenhower Political "Dollar" from South Carolina; and Euro Tests
Great Ike Political Dollar 1952: This was an incredibly challenging
time for both Republicans and Democrats in South Carolina. Fearing that South Carolina voters were not ready to vote Republican, Eisenhower supporters formed a temporary political party called "South Carolinians for Eisenhower." South Carolina Democrats voted for Adlai Stevenson with 173,000 votes. Old-line Republicans plus supporters of the temporary party cast 167,000 votes. About forty-five percent of the people left the Democratic Party. This would make a great addition to both an Ike dollar collection or a political collection. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=2225203818 Also a few older Euro test notes: Specimen Set: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=2225182632 1999 Italian Test: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=2225183941 |
