Who could have figured that when the Blade broke the Coingate
story back in early April that it would get to this?

Perhaps he can bunk with our former governor, John Rowland (CT),
currently doing time in a Federal Prison.

Examples of gifts that Taft left off ethics
forms:

Mr Taft got a mention in today's Glasgow Herald, he's made it! Billy

I read the news reports of what he is actually accused of doing. Sounds
like what he did was not report a few small gifts - things like golf
outings.

To me, it sounded like he took the high road on dealing with these issues.

from all the noise about it, I expected some huge revelation of massive
corruption on his part. Instead, what I find is that he did not fill in a
form indicating who he played golf with.

He made a big fuss about how important ethics was going to be in his
administration, had subordinates take ethics training etc. and then
claims
he didn't know about the requirement to report the golf outings etc.

Lack of attention to detail on an issue that he was trying to be a
champion on...

it is really pathetic.

It's a pretty minor thing, but it comes at a really bad time. The Dems
FINALLY have an issue and they're going to use it to hammer the GOP
next election. They've officially inquired about impeachment
proceedings....despite the fact them don't even have a large enough
minority to bring it to a vote.

And the fact that some of those outings were with Noe doesn't help
either.

Bruce
