Picked up $50 worth of nickels

Raining out, windier than heck, load of wash in the machine and Kim
Possible on the boob tube. Went to the bank and cashed in the
halves I have gone though (tellers thought I was dumping Ikes into the
coin counter) and got myself 25 nickel rolls. Alas they are machine
rolled, but hoping for a war nickel or two. Not much else to do on
such a crappy day.

Or is it, like the coinflation.com site suggests today, really $59 worth of
nickels...

No war nickels - five from the 1940's (2-1940, 1-1941, 1-1946, 1-1948).
Was randomly checking the obverses on older looking coins so may
missed a few from that decade. Didn't notice any from the 1950's.
I also got a 20 Franc coin from Switzerland I believe (1980 -
confederatio helvetica)

I stopped at my bank this afternoon after work to pick up a box of
nickels. It looks like the entire box is brand new 2006 "Return to
Monticello". I wonder whether these will be worth something if the
Mint has to change composition by mid-year. I've got 2000 of them!
