Default Hey, Rich!!

Hey Rich!!

Remember when I posted the question about the wrapper
for the '61 wax packs, and you said that the first series
contained the rub-offs and the other series were stamps??

Take a look at this GAI authenticated wax pack. If you
read the description, it says that GAI calls this a Series 2
pack, but the blurb on the front says "Extra Feature In
Every Pack".

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...9135 327&rd=1

This blurb is associated with the rub-offs and not the
stamps. The packs with the stamps says "Extra
Baseball Stamps In Every Pack".

So, here are the possibilities, as I see them:

1. GAI is wrong, and this is a Series 1 pack.

2. GAI is right and this pack has a rub-off insert, which
means the general consensus that rub-offs only came
in Series 1 packs is wrong.

3. GAI is right and this pack contains stamps, even
though the blurb indicates otherwise, which means
GAI had to use the advertisement on the back to
determine the series. (Or possibly a "see-through"
card)

I want to say that GAI is wrong, and this is a Series 1
pack, but I don't know.

What do you think??

I would guess that your number 3 hypothesis is the case.
