Default Wurlitzer 3010 Plays to Fast

I have a 1966 wurlitzer that play a little too fast. I changed the drive wheel but was not enough. Any suggestions how I can slow the speed down? I am going to try a speed control on the motor and see if that will work.

Thank you in advance if anyone has any thoughts on this issue.

Your AC motor's speed is governed by the 60-cycle frequency of the current, so putting a speed control won't do any good to my knowledge. Did you change the drive wheel before or after you noticed the speed discrepancy? If it was after, perhaps you have too large a diameter on the replacement drive wheel. If it was that way before, the only fix I know of (besides replacement of the motor) is shaving down the diameter of the motor spindle....but you must get it exactly right.....shave too much off and then you're TT will be running too slow, which is even worse! Good luck.
