Default The Ronsonol Cure

In the dark of the winter, when book sales are few and far between, I turn my
attention to repair of books bought during the year.

A few months ago, someone in this group suggested that the best way to remove
sticky tape from paper boards was to use Ronsonol lighter fluid. Well, I always
keep some around for some arcane photographic process, so I decided to try it
out. And, lo and behold, it works! I tested it first on an obscure area of the
paper board and it dried stain free. So then I treated the tape area, and tape
that ordinarily wanted desperately to tear paper away from the book, came along
quietly, as policemen like to say.

I use it to make "Flaming Moes" (or "Flaming Homers" if you prefer).

I was able to buy Un-Du today at Michael's. I bought the two
bottles they had left. Really surprised to see that.

How much did you pay for UnDu?
(price & ounces)
What are the ingredients?

$6.99 for 4 ozs. In a plastic flip top bottle with a built on
plastic lifter.

The bottle says it contains petroleum distillates. Flammable, do
not swallow or inhale.

I have never used it before. When I checked my bag of
purchases---alas--I only bought one bottle! I had intended to buy
both the bottles they had left, as I hear it's not being made
anymore.

Regards,

Donna

Go to the grocery store, find Ronsonol (it may be in the
cigarette area), and check the price.

The last one I bought, was about $2.79 for a 12-ounce bottle
at Wal-Mart.

UnDu would cost you $20.97 for that much!

I'm curious. Why do people think GooGone or UnDu is better?

GooGone has a nice citrus taste.
