Same ink, same sheet of paper, two different pens.. so why does the ink look different?

Default Same ink, same sheet of paper, two different pens.. so why does the ink look different?

Ink is Waterman Blue, the paper is standard writing stock, one pen is
a Retro 51 Goldline, the other is a Hero Dragon and Phoenix, both are
medium nibs yet the Retro is always lighter. Why?
