Default Harmon/Kardon model 8+ pretty neat, pretty good

Just got this one in folks. Had a melted belt and lazy quad/stereo
output switching relay- tinkered and fixed it. It'a a play-only unit,
no record function. It will play quads or stereo tapes, and has a quad
playback head.

Very nice deck. Built every bit as solid as a Wollensak or Akai, i.e.,
a solid machined aluminum tape head support ! The deck on switch is on
the right side behind the capstan- different.

Sound quality- right up there with the best of them, with rock solid
tape speed a tad better than a Wollensak on wow/flutter. Motor is
smaller than an Akai, but still a strong piece. I overpaid a bit for
this puppy to satisfy my curiousity. It's definitely a keeper unless
someone really anted up. Not many H-K decks around, they are
relatively rare- or their owners keep them ! This one came from a
former H-K service employee who had it a long time...
