Several new Scottish notes reported
I like the layout of the pages, it's very nice.
I got a consecutive pair of the Clydesdale £10 notes a month ago. A banknote friend was visiting and he asked at the local Clydesdale branch what £10 notes they had and he took 10 of them, I took 2 at face. I don't have them to hand at present but I believe that we have the first prefix. If a collector was to get one of each new note issued by the Scottish banks it would get expensive as the three banks issue notes from £5 to £100, with the Royal also still issuing £1 notes, although going by some ebay listings the £1 notes is no longer being issued and they are sure to be worth a fortune very soon. As soon as they are I can retire. Billy "Owen W. Linzmayer" wrote in message ... Glad you like the layout of the pages. I put a lot of work into the site and
am hoping that more collectors will visit and provide feedback as well as reports of new notes and news about notes. Certainly I can't do it all myself. I pretty much ignore the idiocy that goes on with eBay. Most sellers there hype their offerings and some include out and out fabrications in their listings. Royal Bank hasn't ceased issuing the £ 1 because it is wonderful
advertising. As much as they are taking over here in the USA now, they would desire to issue a $1 note. |

I believe that their plan is to have the Royal Bank £1 note replace the US$ as the most widely accepted paper money on the planet. :-) The £1 note is not often seen in circulation and the bank has a few million still to be issued, this may take some time as traders prefer to order £1 coins over £1 notes. Many doubt if the bank will print any more £1 notes once the current run have all been issued. I will be stashing some last prefix away when they eventually turn up. Billy |
